How do I sleep better when I’m on vacation?

Hello,
I am a 19 year old female and I always have problems sleeping when I am on vacation. I have never traveled alone but I am thinking about visiting Vancouver in Canada, or Massachusetts. I plan on staying in a hostel dorm to save money. When I do go on vacation with my parents I have problems sleeping because they both Snore. I use earplugs and I take a sleeping pill like Sominex with 50mg of Diphenhydramine. I still only end up getting around 4 hours of sleep, I normally get around 8 to 8 and a half. I bring my own pillow. And I only use sleeping aids when I go on vacation. I really need some help on sleeping better while on vacation
